NHL Teams
Boston Bruins: Established in 1924, the Bruins were the first American team to join the NHL. Success came to the team relatively early, with the Bruins winning the 1929 Stanley Cup over the New York Rangers in the first Stanley Cup finals to feature two American teams.
St. Louis Blues: Louis Blues, American professional ice hockey team based in St. Louis, Missouri, that plays in the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Blues have appeared in four Stanley Cup finals (1968–70 and 2019) and have won one championship (2019).
Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers were established when the NHL expanded from the so-called “Original Six” in 1967. The team saw some minor success initially, earning three postseason berths in its first five years in the NHL. In the 1972–73 season the Flyers began a streak of 18 consecutive play-off appearances.
